FURIA beat BetBoom Team 3-2 on Sunday, 18 October, to win the Thunderpick World Championship 2026. FURIA took the best-of-five grand final after trailing 2-1, winning maps four and five.
BetBoom led the series 2-1 after winning map two, which ran 70 minutes, and map three, which lasted 42 minutes. FURIA levelled on a 56-minute fourth map, then won the decider in 40 minutes.
The sides had met four times since June. FURIA won the three earlier meetings 2-0: at the IEM Cologne Major 2026 on 13 June, in ESL Pro League Season 24 on 3 October, and earlier at this event on 14 October. The final was the first in which BetBoom took a map.
FURIA went through the event undefeated in series play. They beat BetBoom 2-0 in the opening round, edged Legacy 2-1 in the Winners' Match and swept Aurora Gaming 2-0 in the first semi-final. BetBoom reached the final by winning three consecutive series 2-1, against PARIVISION, Legacy and Team Falcons.
In the third-place match, Aurora Gaming beat Team Falcons 2-1.
