Team Heretics has confirmed that Mert "Wo0t" Alkan is leaving the club. The Turkish duelist announced the exit on October 21 on X, thanking him for "the three years we've shared." He joined in October 2023 during a rebuild, according to the source, and played six international events with the team. Wo0t led the entire Masters Shanghai 2024 event with 427 kills, per VLR.gg. With Koshmaras and Boo also gone, benjyfishy and RieNs are the only active Heretics players, and both contracts expire November 2.
Kim "Meteor" Tae-oh says he is looking for a team in Korea, Japan or China. He wrote: "I want to join the team that needs me and the team that is striving for victory." His T1 contract is one of four set to expire on November 2, along with those of Stax, Munchkin and BuZz, VLR.gg reports.
Georgio "keiko" Sanassy says NRG will not keep him next year. He wrote on X that the club has informed him of this and is letting him explore options as a restricted free agent. Any new team would need to reach a deal with NRG, because his contract still ties him to the organization.
The source reports that coaches and analysts, including balax, who left LOUD, have also announced exits. All three player moves come before November 2, the date that opens VCT free agency.
