Blizzard's Dokiwatch 2.0 is Overwatch's second anime-style alternate-universe event. It runs until November 9, 2026, and its cosmetics went live on October 20, according to a Blizzard News recall post by Liz Richardson, published after the BlizzCon Dokiwatch panel.

Richardson breaks down five designs: Anran, Mercy, Illari, Ramattra and Lifeweaver, who plays the villain. Each design pairs a hero with a familiar and a role in the story.

Dokiwatch project lead Ren Soanes says the team "left those breadcrumbs anyway" in 2025, before a second season was approved. The second season added a two-part comic, official merchandise and another cosmetic bundle.

The recall post says Illari's own tragedy gives her insight into why Ramattra would choose to forget his grief and fall to Woe, a concept the comic ties to real-life grief. For Lifeweaver, the team kept his charisma and perception and changed only his moral alignment.

Senior concept artist Florencia Kristiani gave Anran sharp, strong lines to contrast with the round shape of Hermes. The round-bird idea began as an unused concept from the team's Catalog of Cute Animals, first drawn for Mercy's Mythic weapon.

According to the post, Ramattra's Dokiwatch name, Malus, comes from the Latin root for "evil." The post also says Hyacinth the owl shares a name with a figure in Greek myth, and that Woebringer's snake exists because snakes eat rodents like hamsters, a joke aimed at Eleos. Blizzard's developers say they wish they had more comic pages for the friendship between Illari and Ramattra.

The cosmetics run inside Season 5, A Grim Doctrine. The recall post does not name prices, rarities or item counts, and it gives no return date after the run ends.
