Team Liquid Alienware beat Anyone's Legend 2-0 at Worlds 2026, eliminating the LPL's top seed from the Swiss Stage without a game win, according to Esports Insider. The LCS champions remain in the tournament and face LOS in a deciding series on 30 October.

Liquid won the opening game from the red side in 33 minutes and 13 seconds, with a 16-5 kill lead. Top laner Morgan finished 7/1/6 on Camille. The second game ran 47 minutes before Liquid closed the series. Yeon's Xayah played a key part in that result.

Anyone's Legend had already lost best-of-one matches to Karmine Corp and Top Esports. Dot Esports reported that a Chinese top seed had never exited Worlds this way before. It is also the second straight Worlds in which the LPL's first seed failed to clear the Swiss Stage. Bilibili Gaming went out in Round 5 in 2025.

Anyone's Legend and Team Secret Whales were the first two teams eliminated. Each finished joint 15th-16th and receives US$90,000 from a US$5,000,000 prize pool. Earlier the same day, LOS eliminated Team Secret Whales 2-0, giving Brazil its first Swiss Stage win.

Liquid entered Worlds as the LCS's first seed after beating LYON 3-1 in the 2026 Summer grand final on 4 October. The team lost to CTBC Flying Oyster and Bilibili Gaming in its opening Swiss matches. The sweep leaves Liquid ninth on a 1-2 series record and 2-2 on games. Teams advance with three match wins and are eliminated with three losses. Elimination and advancement matches are best-of-three with Fearless Draft.

Liquid's next series is also a must-win. Hanwha Life Esports face G2 Esports at 18:00 CDT in another match on the schedule.
